ALEZ Competition - Pale Ales - April 16 entry date

Our next ALEZ competition is going to be a pale ale competition. The entries will be judged based on the BJCP categories:

8A standard/ordinary bitter
8B special/best/premium bitter
8C extra special/strong bitter
10A American pale ale

There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for this competition, with a prize for first place. Entries will need to be two 12 oz bottles for judging, and either two more 12 oz bottles or one 22 oz bottle for tasting at the following public meeting. Winners will be announced at the May public meeting on Tuesday May 21st, and we'll have all the entries available to taste at that meeting as well. There is no entry fee to this competition, but entries will be limited to no more than 2 per person and you can't enter more than one entry into one style category.


Entries for this competition will be due at our April public meeting on Tuesday April 16. If you can't make the meeting you can drop your entries off at Blockader Homebrew Supply as well. I'll post an entry form you can print off to include with your bottles as the competition draws closer.
