I'm brewing up a beer for the spring party tomorrow, a fairly traditional steam beer:
65% UK 2 row 20% Munich II 10% Abbey Malt 5% Caramunich II
.5 oz US Northern Brewer @ 60 min - 13.5 IBU 1 oz Cascade @ 20 min - 8.2 IBU 1 oz Brewer's Gold @ 10 min - 7.6 IBU .5 oz US Northern Brewer @ 5 min - 2.7 IBU
Wyeast 2112 California Lager
Mash @ 152* Ferment @ 62*
OG 1.047 FG 1.015 IBU 32 ABV 4.3%
Hopefully it doesn't suck!

Just got done brewing it, and I think this one is gonna be a winner. I mashed a little lower than I wanted at 149-150* and the OG was a little higher than I planned at 1.052 but I'm sure it'll turn out great. Pitched the yeast at 60* and stuck it in my chest freezer set at 64*. This was the first time trying out my submersible pump to pump ice water through my chiller since it was warmer out today than I anticipated. I didn't hook it up until I was at 80* and it only took about 10 minutes to go from 80* to 60* even though I had to fiddle with it a bit since it was my first time trying it out. Attachments:

I brewed a copule weekends ago and used a submersible pump for the first time. I think it might be one of the best brewing investments I ever made. Cut my brew day down by at least an hour.
